ESSENCE OF PLANT HUNTER
In the 1800s, plant hunters who visited Japan from abroad documented the plants they brought back to their home countries by creating specialized publications. At the time, instead of using photographs, they preserved these collected plants as original illustrations rendered with delicate detail. These illustrations were circulated as professional materials in printed form.
This season’s summer T-shirts from CONFECT are inspired by those botanical journals left behind by plant hunters of the past. The graphics were created using that motif and printed onto CONFECT’s signature oversized T-shirts.
