Over the years, certain things have captivated people, gaining charm through use and touch. CONFECT's focus is on old things rather than the latest trends. Inspired by the appeal found in old things, we have created two new shirt designs.
CONFECT EYE'S 01 - OLD FABRIC'S NEP, OVER SMOCK
In the early 20th century, linen wear lacked the advanced spinning techniques of today, resulting in a texture with many slubs and irregularities. What might seem flawed to some is seen as "charming" and appealing by CONFECT.
We created a linen-based fabric with prominent slubs by incorporating silk neps and using a Jacquard loom for complex weaving. Inspired by early 20th-century European farmer smocks, we tailored it into a simple shirt jacket.

Since flax, the source of linen, is primarily grown in Europe, linen has developed there and become integral to daily life, being used for sheets, towels, and various cloths. Over time, linen cloths have incorporated diverse patterns and embroidery.
Linen stripes, in particular, have been used in men's clothing, workwear, formal wear, and household textiles. CONFECT is also captivated by the charm of linen stripes.
