GARMENT DYED
QUILTING JACKET
One of the things that defines us, and something we specialize in, is making “GARMENT DYED” clothing.
By using natural materials to make clothing and dyeing the garment after it has been constructed, it brings depth to the color through unevenness and gradation, and gives the entire piece movement and texture due to the puckering that occurs from the difference in elasticity between the fabric and the stitching.
Due to the varying absorption of the dye and the quilt stitching sewn into the shell, it is easy for differences in color shading to occur, making it extremely difficult to control the dyeing process. Adjusting this requires exceptional experience and skill.
The fabric has undergone “Omi Zarashi Processing,” a traditional Japanese technique. This process softens the fabric while also bringing out a textured surface. Through this technique, the fabric is kneaded to create slight elasticity, enhancing flexibility and resulting in a comfortable wearing experience.
