CONFECT proposes new models or shorts made of new materials every summer.
In the summer season of 2024, we have prepared CONFECT's "Gear Shorts" that emphasize a generous sense of spacious silhouette. While featuring large side pockets, fusing design elements of modular functionality, ideal for outdoors or travel, while versatile enough for everyday wear.
Made from two distinct fabrics, our offerings include a cotton-linen blend featuring the unique "Omi-zarashi" finish, which accentuates the natural fabric's texture but also offers a firm yet flexible built. Additionally, we present a 100% linen denim fabric, a favorite known for its balanced weight, graceful drape, and subtle sheen.
COTTON/LINEN OHMI-ZARASHI GEAR SHORTS
An all-natural weather cloth fabric woven densely with compact cotton warp yarns and cotton-linen blend weft yarns of high thread count. This fabric has been meticulously finished with the traditional Omi-zarashi process in Shiga prefecture, a technique with a rich history spanning over three centuries. This treatment results in a unique crisp natural paper-like touch.

This linen denim fabric is made of thickly woven linen, which is considered difficult to handle due to its many knots and irregularities. The warp yarns are dyed indigo, and the color gradually fades after repeated wear and washing, making the shading stand out and giving the fabric depth and texture.It is a rare 100% linen.
