PAINTER PANTS
We have created a new model from CONFECT: ultra-lightweight 5.5oz painter pants made with Made in Japan denim, produced entirely in Okayama Prefecture—a region globally renowned for its denim craftsmanship. Every step, from spinning the yarn to weaving the fabric, is carefully handled within the region by skilled local manufacturers.
Inspired by vintage workwear, these pants feature rugged detailing, but above all, they are designed to showcase the fabric itself—the true centerpiece of this garment, with its rich texture and depth of character.
Particular attention was paid to the yarn dyeing process: the indigo version uses yarns dyed with genuine indigo, while the mocha version uses yarns treated with a brown-toned sulfur dye to achieve its distinctive color.
Classic workwear details such as the large double-knee patches extending from the thigh to below the knee, scale pocket, and double stitching are all faithfully incorporated. However, the main attraction remains the fabric itself—its expressive drape and dynamic texture. To accentuate these qualities, the pants feature a wide silhouette with deep pleats for a dramatic and elegant flow.
