The style proposed by CONFECT is rooted in vintage-inspired clothing, based on men's workwear, military, and traditional styles. By using natural materials such as linen and cotton, or by applying garment-dyeing techniques, we aim to subtly "disrupt" the original images associated with these styles.
The silhouettes of our garments are not sharply defined, but rather have a relaxed, blurred outline. Through dyeing processes and shrinkage from washing, we give the fabric movement and create natural wrinkles. This softens the rugged image, creating a sense of ease and relaxation. By "slightly altering the original," we strive to create clothing that people can enjoy as fashion, yet wear comfortably in daily life for many years.
While we cherish the expression and atmosphere that come from historical men's clothing, we add our own interpretation and express it through our choice of materials and dyeing techniques.
The summer suit made from linen Panama fabric and the work jacket crafted from linen twill—both newly released—are items that embody this CONFECT philosophy. Drawing design inspiration from vintage workwear, we have softened the typically rigid impression of work garments and created pieces that reflect our identity using 100% linen fabric.
