FARMER
The 2024 Autumn/Winter collection captures the pastoral scenes of a farmer's life, expressed through CONFECT's signature use of natural materials and dyes. This season’s theme offers a fresh perspective on the enjoyment of clothing and style. In this special feature, we focus on four newly released pieces, detailing their designs and styling inspired by the essence of farmers from the past.
FARMERS PANTS
These new pants feature deep double pleats and side patch pockets, inspired by the simple farmer pants seen in Euro vintage styles. The design merges a bag and pants, imagining the look of a tool bag worn at the waist during work. To create a vintage feel, they are made from a coarse-textured cotton cloth woven on a 1970s spinning machine. After tailoring, the pants are naturally dyed using residues of black tea and green tea leaves.

SILK NEP STRIPE SUITING
The daily life of farmers traditionally involved not only working in the fields but also hunting during the off-season. This season, CONFECT's jackets and easy pants feature fabrics that appear worn-in, with pocket designs and placements reminiscent of hunting wear.
The fabric is meticulously crafted at Bishu region of Aichi prefecture Japan. The warp yarns consist of a blend of medium weight cotton-linen double yarns and lightweight 100% wool double yarns woven alternately, while the weft yarns are made of single silk spun yarn in a plain weave. The fabric features a subtle striped pattern created by wrapping a navy yarn of the same color around the Top Gray yarn for the weft.

MADRAS PLAID - SUMI OVERDYE SHIRT
Madras check cloth, commonly used in the workwear of various laborers, has been featured in this season's CONFECT collection. The fabric, woven in India where Madras originated, is dyed in Japan using traditional charcoal dye. Originally vibrant in color, the Madras check has been dyed in charcoal to evoke the feel of a black-and-white film. With each wash, the black gradually fades, revealing the original colors of the fabric. This marks the beginning of a story, offering a sense of anticipation for how the shirt will evolve over time.
